  3. Well, I’ve gone and done it again, and this time, the A really has to go. Michelle and I were out of town this weekend and while we were out driving around, turned the corner and wouldn’t you know, stumbled on this here chopped ‘34 sedan that juuuuuust happened to be for sale. Drove real nice, very comfortable, tube axle with 4 bars, Ford rear. Street roddy interior and some billet, but all in all a real nice car. He wasn’t out of range on the price, but Michelle and I talked about it and certainly the A would have to go, but isn’t ready to sell, and without a parking place, now really wasn’t the time. So, called to say I was going to pass and the seller was ready to move and asked what I’d have to give to make the deal now. Shot a number and he said come pick it up. Well, what the heck is a guy supposed to do….right? So, I present the Unexpected ‘34….

You are going to just need to build a bigger shop... Very cool and congrats! What does it have for drivetrain?

  6. 350/350. Made the hour and half drive home without a hitch. Really a tight little car all things considered…75-80 no trouble. The A has been a fun around town car, but this will be a nice road car and more usable than the A. It’s been a fun run, but it’s time to move on. I’ll finish installing the new interior and then list it up for sale. Hopefully I can get that done in half short order as I’m really, really, REALLY out of parking places. The Tbird had been in the garage since the Impala arrived last year. I JUST got the shop rearranged two weeks ago to get the Bird back in so I could have room in the garage to finish the doors for the lake reno. :/ At least I have a place for it today, but a log jam is rapidly approaching. Haha

  9. I like the A, but I like the sedan more!

Waiting to see your thread as you traditionalise it. You have a good start with current look.

  11. Thanks guys. Pretty stoked about it. @pprather a debilletizing is certainly on the docket. Michelle said the first thing that has to go is the steering wheel. Lol. The interior is not my choice, but I don’t hate it. Hard to change that anytime soon, but the billet and a few other items will be not too bad to change to my taste. Unstreetrodderizing the Unexpected ‘34….I shall start the thread soon. :)

@atch i think it would have to live inside his office at work lol.

  18. Nope. A's gotta go. No room in the Inn. Then, to add to the congestion, my son in law's '69 Chevelle he inherited from his grandfather is in the shop in the space the Pontiac goes, so the Pontiac is over in his mom's shop in the meantime while we work on getting the Chevelle back on the road. Just found out the day after we bought the '34 that she is listing the house for sale, so now there's that scramble on top of it all. LOL Called Derrick yesterday and worked through the logistics of making room in his garage to move the Chevelle there and get the Pontiac back home to my place. '34 is very temporarily in the garage with Michelle's car.....and the doors for the lake house. Gotta up my liability insurance...someone is gonna trip and die out here. Ha!

Well, you could forget the lake house and build a bigger shop to work on these hot rods. Use your garage to keep the ones your not working in.

  20. Haha! Well, I can’t forget the lake house, but hopefully I’ll have a new garage soon for the runners and the projects will have some breathing room in the shop. Lol

Obvious answer is build a garage on the lake house then you are never with out an old car, but then you’d be cussing at an old ford instead of cussing at a boat and that defeats the point of a lake house
