I used a 55 Plymouth grille in my 50 Fleetline. The front ind on the 56 is 72 " to the outside of the fenders, so it would be a little wide, but I narrowed mine without a lot of effort.

Could be this kit. Are those back fenders from a Chevy Stepside?

Yes, the grille in my build comes from that AMT 53 kit. What I was staying is I don’t know if it has an OE manufacturer origin. I have an AMT custom grille parts pack and most of them are stock grilles from different cars

And yes, the rear fenders on the AMT 53 Ford are 55-57 GM fenders. The stock Ford rear fenders are also included.

Man, I like that! That is one of those deals that people wonder if it isn't just stock.

Back around 1960 there was an F100 in the Seattle Area known as the Bare End with canted quads that to me was one of the best looking applications of canted quads I ever saw. With quad lights in anything before 58 there is a fine line between cool and looking stuck on as an afterthought.

That AMT grille is probably custom, but you could do something similar using headlights from a '65 New Yorker.

  13. I used to drive a lowered Toyota truck
Hood from a 4 runner that didn’t fit, no grill or front bumper, primered fenders, bashed rear bumper, hit in the drivers door, and the bed side destroyed by a tire that exploded.
    loved that truck

    yea, I’d drive it

This is in our recent purchase... it gets a big hell no from me. Currently trying some alternate options. Love this thread. img_1_1757932172173.jpg

    Hello,

82 posts and no single head lights with a tubular grille form fit to the curvature of the circle rings. Dual headlights with a tube grill, but no single headlight version with a custom grill pattern. This single headlight with the sideways tubular bars was first shown in the 50s and was a top choice, then.

Here is a great sample of what i saw back in 1956-57 in our own westside neighborhood. A cool 56 Ford Tahitian Red truck with a tubular grille. But, it was lowered, had all white tuck and roll from the local USA upholstery guy, chrome exhaust pipes and chromed reverse wheels. He had the only tube grille on any 56 Ford Truck that we had seen.

Here is a great sample of the custom tube bar grille, form fit to the two headlights.

The 56 Ford Truck also had a chopped top. It was not the conventional 3 inch chop straight across with an even roofline.

It had the most unusual chop of the front lip higher than the rear. Sitting inside was a great view of the Tahitian Red/Candy Apple Red color and huge hood.

All of the work was done in Long Beach and most of it was done in the Westside of Long Beach shops. YRMV

different sticking a standard 67 Camaro grille in the opening, now you have me thinking of what the hidden head light grille from a Rally Sport would look like.
