Event Coverage 2025 Portland Roadster Show

So today was the final set up day for the Portland Roadster Show. Miss Taboo is part of the Cavalcade of Custom display, so spent the day setting it up and checking out the show. Very Custom heavy this year. Ive been going back and forth with my phone and DLSR camera. So will be updating this thread over the weekend and next week as I go through everything. Here is a teaser of the customs on display.

 

That there's a cavalcade of customs if ever I seen one! Have fun man. I'll look for you when I get over there. Not sure but I think Saturday afternoon.

 

That looks like shiny color photos of the cars in the 1962 Worlds Fair car show in Seattle. If I don't figure out what the shake and bake thing going on in the box with wheels is I won't make it and then not until Sunday as my son and his family are coming in from Idaho for the weekend.

 

Does Captain Hook still own the turquoise and white Chevy fleetline hardtop? I used to see him in Joseph Oregon at that run, but haven’t seen him for several years now. Very nice car.

 

Dave sadly passed away a handful of years ago. New owner of the car now.

Too bad, very nice guy, and really knew his stovebolts. Gave me some good advice, and sold me some neat parts for my avatar.

Out in the far hall is the High School Challenge. A spot for high school students to show their cars and for local shop classes to show off projects. Quite a few schools have a hot rod project they are working on.

Ok, I'll say it.........I didn't know that Chevrolet built one of those.

 

You got a lot of the same pics as me. I feel like this year was a massive improvement over last year. I found myself circling back to every building to check out more details- which I never do. Here’s a few pictures I took (I’ll keep it on topic):

 

Chevy didn’t, the guy built it himself at home wanting to do what Chevy didn’t.

Thanks for posting. I really want to get to that event some year. I have relatives in the Portland area, might be a good excuse to visit again!
