Stan Dean, Don Radbruch and Bob McLean (sp?) at Oakland, CA 1951. Radbruch was a historian, he edited two books for Tex Smith, Roaring Roadsters and Roaring Roadsters II

No ID on driver or car, track was Illiana, it was on US Rt.30, the Lincoln Highway. just over the IL/IN line.

Really makes me wonder what they were thinking, in taking the extra time, and adding the extra weight to the car, to put that round tube behind the drivers shoulders, when it was (is) clear, that it isn't doing anything but adding unwanted weight !

For those not sure what I'm talking about...
Not high enough to go, "above" the drivers head.
No "angular" supports.
