Steve had a copy of #87 there and said those were going out in "a couple of weeks". I'm trying to decide whether to re-up or not. I had let my subscription lapse before he went into hibernation.

 

According to the staff manning the HOP UP booth in the Suede Palace the preordered issues were shipped last week and should be arriving soon. I've known Steve since he did my deuce 5 window for Street Rodder in 1978-9? He has never left me hanging and has always came thru keeping his promises. Sometimes they took a while but they were always fulfilled. He had a great spot in the front of the building and was there answering questions most of the time. #87 looks like another good issue. Patience.

 

Good to see that both TRJ & Hop Up are well & truly alive & kicking........waiting with baited breath for something great to read........lol.....andyd

 

I have been waiting over 4 years for this day and I have to say there were many times when I thought it would never arrive. I am elated to have finally received issues 84, 85 and 86. I did send proof of subscription payment and keep reminding them that I was still waiting. I thank everyone at the Rodder's Journal for making it happen and wish them all the best for the future.

 

Is this book back in production? If so I have to have to know. I will support this and want to collect these books like hop up

How do you get a hold of it?

 

And subscribed! we all need to support this kind of high quality publication.

 

The new issue should be ready any day now. I know some have already gotten an advanced copy of it.

 

I don’t know that it’s in many stores, you should be able to subscribe on the website.

 

I think it’s been said that it will no longer be handled by periodical distributors so you won’t see it on newsstands. Subscription or at select hot rod shops only going forward.

 

Finally got around to subscribing. Went for the 2 yr Internstional. They seem to be well on their way. Can’t wait for the next issue.

 

I Just Read The Olde Ones Until The New One Shows Up And Find Interesting Items I Missed The First Time Around...Up To TRJ # 32 Again....No Worries. .

 

The deuce edition, - great book, although it’s the only copy I have !

Hey Scooter, thanks for the newsletter post.

How does one sign up to get it?

 

I stopped in at the RJ office late February when I was in the area on business. Talked to Steve a bit and thumbed through a pre-press copy of the (I think) #87.

He was at the GNRS. Told me he stayed in a friend’s hotel room, and some friends carried his booth stuff in some spare space in their rig.

Not to speak out of turn, but Steve looks like he’s aged 20 years in the last five. He’s put body and soul, and every last dime into keeping RJ alive. And he succeeded where many would have just thrown in the towel and walked away.

How about we call a moratorium on trashing Steve for whatever subscriptions or merch that was lost in the process. And instead celebrate his survival, and the survival of a great magazine.

I renewed for 2yrs.

Good read. I've chatted with him a few times at his office, and he is a determined guy for sure.
I stopped by there Thursday between jobs but missed him. Must have been out to lunch. He did have his Rivi there though. First time I've seen it. Sits nice and low.

 

All this worrying and speculation is probably the best advertisement they can get on line. Personally I think he is a stand up guy and will deliver as long as he can.........if he ever can't, I figure it was still money well spent.

 

We gotcha TRJ, just keep punchin...
