  4. Ohh my gosh, there’s a sketch of this exact concept in one of my little books. I’m stunned, flabbergasted even. I’m gonna have to find that sketch post it straight away.

Someone waaaay back in this thread made the comment that this is what his kids Hotwheels cars look like when they are stepped on. I'll never look at an over-cambered car again without that mental picture.

    Cheers,

Why does that say yard art? That is the proof that as a teen I looked high and low for. That proves that Hot Rods do grow on trees and no I didn't need to work myself to death to get one. I just needed to find the right tree. I'll bet there is a money tree on the same lot.

That Studie was parked in that tree for many years, saw it when going to the Oregon Coast, looked for it a couple weeks ago but didn't see it.

  10. What is the point of the tilting wheels? Is it just to “lay frame”?

  11. Maybe it's an image thing? Probably the douche bags that drive them look like this.

  12. I don’t think this is wrong per se, just a poor execution of concept is all.

This style of build is what seems popular with stuff built in Japan. The laid out wheels are the current wild customs from over there these days. I'm sure there was a lot of engineering to be able to do that, then raise them back upright to drive the car home.
Its the same shock and wonder value that the chopped cars and wild painted cars of the 50s, 60s, & 70s caused here in the states. Maybe its a fad over there, or maybe it will be the bench mark of the future customs built in Japan.
