Well, I guess it's finally finished. Had the roadster striped by a local guy here in Sarasota, he did a great job, understood what I wanted, took the general idea and ran with it. I love it, just the right amount, the little extra accent looks good and doesn't look garish. 36267626-3D09-41ED-A576-A2C5F3BF3579.jpeg 63AC2B2A-527B-48CF-B22B-C528F8E2BFD9.jpeg D43FE1B7-6E02-4136-9F23-C734544D3C13.jpeg D763CA6A-71EA-4279-BA8F-A4442379ACDD.jpeg A6030DD4-8140-4699-9018-CF523EF7E015.jpeg 7797B6B4-AF71-4B6F-8079-E7014C1E39B4.jpeg

I see he painted his index finger. Was he running the brush out on that finger?

He got paint on his finger straight away, I'd have had fingerprints all over the car, but he kept it off the hood and deck lid. ;)

Very tasteful! Not ostentatious like so many "too busy" pinstriping jobs.
    Great work!

looks like he’s using the good ol ‘finger palette’, I did this for a couple years when I first started striping because you can literally ‘feel’ when the paint is at the perfect consistency, but after hearing about how that allowed the lead in the paint absorbed through the skin I started palleting on the edge of a cup or a phone book and never went back.

Totally agree. There's a fine line between busy and classy. That is classy in the highest level. Great job!

Thanks. It's easy to go too far, and fall into the "If a little is good, too much isn't enough" mindset, isn't it? ;)

You finally got my Roadster finished? It's about time. Driving it all over tarnation. Florida and everywhere. Geez. I'll be around to pick it up. On second thought I'll just have you deliver it. My birthday is in May. That would be nice. You're a good person.

    Pinstriping's nice. :)

Looks good. You should mention his name and contact info in case other people in the area are looking for a striper who knows his stuff.

He did a couple of lines over because he wasn't happy with them, but I don't think I made him nervous. :D
