For me they don’t get much cooler than a genuine Covico in solid yellow : 5453F990-6BB5-43C0-A12B-BF8872ED6C49.jpeg

Here's a Ford banjo I recently re-worked with a new mahogany and hard maple rim.

Made it myself. It was originally black bakelite but was very rough so I copied the shape but in wood. IMG_2382.JPG

1938 Packard steering wheel going in my 1931 Plymouth Coupe. Polish up the horn button and paint the wheel shiny black to match the car.

To me and to my eye photographically speaking, the steering wheels of interesting automobiles, are their own pieces of artwork, and they are central to the personality of the make and model and to the owners choice as well.
So I try to get a shot of the various steering wheels of the cars and hot rods that catch my eye at various car
    shows etc, etc.
Here are a few from the files, I have shot recently in the last few years.
I tried to stay away from the obvious billet and less than inspirational types.
I find that by trying to edit the shot, to give a bit of the interior of the car as well, adds to the over all beauty of the steering wheels.
    Enjoy from Dennis.

This wheel was original to a 37 GarWood. As was typical at the time with wood boats, most of the steering hardware was sourced from the auto industry. The guy that restored this wheel told me that it came from IMG_5357.JPG a 36 Hudson.

steeringwheelwillys.jpg Always liked this version for 50-51 Willys.
Came with a 360 horn ring and chromed Willys center, but plain works.
