Hi Mike, nah, if it was going on one of my cars I certainly would but this is just some garage art,

    Question for LOUDBANG!
I see you posted a photo of a 56 Chevy Gasser named UNDERDOG.
I have friends trying to locate that car, any info you can give me like who owns it or where it is now?
It was a big part of SF history.
    Much appreciated LOUDBANG,
    Mick

  5. A few days ago I watched a video from our friend Dan Stoner, The Motor Underground. He has been talking to guys from China Town SF. They know about this car, however seems to be like a GHOST as to were it is and alot of the history.

    Thanks 1933-willys-77 and thanks Loudbang!
Mike, that's why I was looking for the car.
My friend Bill had the yellow 55 Gasser in the video
and they interviewed my friend Brian,

  8. Yes. Very cool. From what all the guys in China Town said, Al was a master at making the gasser cars work on the street. Very interesting stuff.

Al's was definitely the place to go, we all went there.
Al's brother Bill Fitting is also a fabricator, in fact he has two 33 Willys himself.
    Enjoy Memorial Day,

My great nephew Brayden was over the house so....
you know I had to brain wash him, we need future gear heads,
especially ones interested in Willys, attached.

I recently installed a mini starter in my 30 pickup, what a difference!
Figured I better stick one in the Willys too.
I had to add a couple of shims, piece of cake but the starter gear was too close
to the flexplate ring gear so I had to send away for an "internal spacer kit,"
[two pieces]. Took the starter apart, installed the kit, works fine now.
It's so much lighter in weight and it fires up a lot faster,
    nice improvement.

Our friends Charlie [driver/owner] and Alex [crew chiefin'] drove to Bakersfield yesterday
to run in the ANRA event at the Famoso track.
Rained yesterday but they stayed at a hotel and made it back to the track this morning.
Now dry there, Charlie made a pass.
    55 Chevy, 454 w/tunnel ram and two [small] 450 Holleys with a 4-speed!
    Turned a 10.63 on a 10.60 dial in.
Yeow, a consistent 4-speed run? Small carbs? Wild.

Great stuff, Mick. When you post, please click "full image".
My '39 Willys came from the Frisco area. This is a shot of when I bought it in 2010, it's been 4 different colors. Coulda been at that dealer you showed! I bet you crossed paths with it somewhere.

Sorry to deviate, but that is a LeMans blue 69 Camaro ragtop with dual sport mirrors, deluxe hounds tooth interior?, rear spoiler and what looks like a red hockey stick stripe? Any other pics? You can PM me.

That Camaro belongs to one of the fellas who attended our Friday Night Gathering in Concord [Ca.].
Hr raced it that day [BBC -4-speed car].
I'll see if I have any shots of it...
