Just a heads up to everybody, especially to those of us here in the Pacific Northwest, here is the information for the very cool Estranged Drag/Show, that will be happening at the
    "TMP"
( Toutle Motorsports Park ) this coming August, 2025.

I went last year for my first time with my friend, and this was a great gathering of great cars in a very cool setting.
This is the link to the photos I shot there last year!

So I thought I would post up the poster that has the information for us gear heads that enjoy this unique event.

    Thanks from Dennis.
Hope to see you all there!

I went a few years ago and it is something that a traditional car freak should go to at least once. A bit of advice, if you go take a decent camera with a decent storage card and extra battery as you will want to take a lot of photos at this event including sitting down the track on the berm at the right spot to get actions shots and good shots of cars returning up the track. https://robertdavison.smugmug.com/2019-Billetproof-Eruption-drags/i-mJ979Tn/A

Is there a schedule of events for each day. It's a long drive for me to go up and home for one day. Is it worth staying over for two days? Friday and Saturday or Saturday and Sunday?

It is absolutely worth staying. Friday is pretty mellow, mostly setup. Saturday and Sunday are the big racing days. The show, racing and swap meet all kinda happen simultaneously. I don't think you'll be disappointed you made the drive.

It's absolutely the best old time drag race in the NW! I've raced there many times, starting back when it was the Billetproof Drags, and it's not just a great drag race, but a wonderful social event. I tow my cars up with my old '69 Suburban and sleep in the back for the weekend. If you bring a tent and like to camp out you'll love the drags/show, and a fun weekend.

Are there*****ters or restrooms for those staying the night? Lots of room for truck/trailer parking overnight? Any food vendors or bring yer own? I have always had plans, this year I don't.

    Hey @roder1935
Just take a look at the photos I shot down there last year, as you can see its pretty laid back and as far as a true schedule for the racers, for the most part there isn't a true schedule.

Like the poster says, its a limited number of cars that can race, and the submissions for applications was due back on July 1st.

So if you are a racer, your late for the application, but being a spectator, is just as cool as it can be!
The photo I shot of the guy in the chair kicking back, that close to the starting line, should tell you just how laid back things are at this event!

My advice is for you to just show up down there when the gates open up, you will figure it out very quickly when you see how its all set up, its about as laid back as an event like this can be, cash only at the gate, and its well worth your time to come and enjoy this kick**** event!

Bring a little extra pocket money for the swap meet part of it, never a disappointment either, fair warning, stuff goes quickly at the swap meet part of it.

    Enjoy from Dennis.

Be there at 8:00 A.M., that way you can get a good parking spot, which is also very laid back, as you will see, you can park anywhere, like I said, look at all of the photos from last year of how things are laid out there, its not complicated!

    Enjoy from Dennis.

This is what I found on FB and all I found that answered any time line questons.
No racing Tursday, that is to show up, get your spot and set up your pits/camp.
Gates open at 8 and racing starts around 10. The time I was there the racing wasn't all that formal except they did try some to have similar style cars running together. For the run it as you brung it guys it was just get in line, make a run and come back and get back in line to go again and repeat. It's almost as much walking the pits and parking area as it is watching the racing. You see street cars you have never seen before and some real interesting race cars.
That is the weekend of my 56th anniversary so I am not going to make it this year.
Note if you go I'd suggest taking along a cooler of water and what ever other beverage you usally drink along with maybe packing a lunch. There are some pretty decent food vendors on site. One gas station mini mart in Toutle. Castle Rock is 14 miles but a slow trip. Take some lawn chairs as my favorite watching spot was on the Berm just short of the finish line.

Since not everybody is there for each day of racing they usually go over driver's rules each morning before racing begins. The announcement will be made before to head to the starting line for driver's meetings, so if you pay attention you'll hear it within a half hour of racing starting.
This as informal as any drag racing gets, and it's easy to get a lot of runs in Friday, and Sunday too. Saturday is the busiest day, and takes a lot longer between passes to get subsequent runs in. First year I attended I made over 20 passes, and quit when it got pretty warm in the late afternoon. It does become so addicting when you're having fun that you'll forget about eating or drinking, and just keep looping back in line!
One and only one negative, and that's the My St. Helens ash dust. It gets into everything, and expect a major cleanup when you get home. I usually spend the day with a pressure washer washing under and over my car.

Since neither of my Drag cars are ready, I think I will slide some low gears in this one, and have some fun ! IMG_0607.JPG

About the time I was thinking about getting up at 0 dark 30 and heading Over White Pass for the day I remembered that the 16th is my 56 th anniversary and that my wife has a hair appintment that afternoon. Hope she plans on paying for dinner.
