    Do it! It's only metal!

That's the spirit, Tim! I hope to have the body modifications done this year and in high build primer by Christmas, next year I will be focusing on mechanicals.

No! Lol it would lose the proportions I want if I chopped it, and I am 6'6", so I want to fit in it.

Agreed - don't chop it. It has great proportions now - I love it, and I just saved the profile pic to my computer for future reference!

Here is a little-seen shot of the best version of the Cunningham car from the Peterson Archive and also a '40 coupe from Peterson with a nice wheel radius. Also a couple of the restoration of the Dave Stuckey sedan.

Looking REAL good so far! That name "Der Herumtreiber" immediately caught my eyes because I'm in Germany ;)

A couple days' work and it's mocked up with tape and junk I found!

The '59 Ford headlight buckets were narrowed a tad to fit the '59 Plymouth headlight bezels, which were set in a french-American bucket of my design.

The whole deal will be snazzed up to the max, and I am working on a vanilla-infused paint formula that will really give a new meaning to "sniffing paint". Have you ever opened the case of a fresh Gibson guitar? The nitrocellulose laqcuer has a distinct Vanilla smell.

    Anyways, it's about that time. I hope you enjoy! 20250510_191908.jpg IMG_20250510_184238_998.jpg IMG_20250510_184239_026.jpg 20250510_114726.jpg 20250509_150318.jpg 20250509_150307.jpg 20250508_211708.jpg 20250508_211602.jpg 20250508_211406.jpg 20250508_211349.jpg

Don't worry, I realize they aren't for everyone, and I will get a lot of people who will think this car is "ugly" when it's done, but it's not their car, it's mine! No hard feelings.

Cool! Do you have anything planned for the expanded area next to the headlight bezels?

I would stand back, look at it, and then erupt into a cartoon villain laugh 100%

    Good job.

Pretty sure that is just tape with some primer shot on it now? I was assuming he might sink them back into the fender some?

Thanks! it'll just get more bitchiner as time goes on!

    Yes they do! Thanks!

Of course I do! Expanded/textired metal, gold bullets, maybe even some plastic bits.

    That might have happened!

Front edge of the buckets will get trimmed some still, then 3/8" round rod added around the edge, then metal shaped to that. But yeah, tape for now to get a decent visual.

Hold onto yer hat! It will get a "little deuce coupe" -esque tail pan cove with a bunch of tricks in it after the headlights are done.

Could even do a fogged plexi cover with some gold bullets over the light centers

Really digging the proportions of the channel. Well done.
This shot right here makes me want you to run hoodless with 3 2s hanging in the breeze.
