Not that I’ve seen. It’s typically 6-8 weeks from “it’s in the mail” to “it’s in your mail box” I’d say we are halfish way there.
I can't even get an answer from them about the status of my subscription. I have E-Mailed them three times to see what the status of my subscription is, with no answer. I am a charter member having every issue and my records show that I should have two issues due to me. My last issue was #86 and I have a feeling that that's the last issue for anyone.
87 exists and is in the mail. every single time it takes 6-8 weeks to get to me and id say 4-6 weeks to get to anyone. The reason for that is the process he uses to mail the magazines. It gets sorted and shipped differently/ outside of standard usps shipping and as such takes for ever. it hasn’t been but a couple weeks since he announced that 87 went out the door and 88 is getting very close to being printed possible he said it was currently being printed. I would give it at least a month before I got any feathers ruffled about an empty mail box. In the last email I feel like the possibly included a new phone number or contact point when they talked about the website going live again? Might be worth looking back at that and seeing if there’s a way you can get in contact. I know it’s like 1.5 people and communication from there has been abysmal but I do think they are trying now.
Over the last couple of years I have sent several emails inquiring about the status of my account, I never received any notifications or updates at the time when others hambers were commenting about their receiving current updates. I got this email this past week. TRJ customer service via yahoo.com Mon, May 12, 5:13 AM (6 days ago) Hi Danny, Thanks for the email. We have updated your email address, thanks for letting us know. Thanks you for your support over the years, we appreciate it. Kind regards, Customer Service The Rodder's Journal 24848 Meeting House Road Denton, MD 21629 At least they know I exist! HRP
They are still in business although they have experienced a few snags in the last few years with a re-location, a printer/distributor problem and a pandemic, but they have published a magazine last year and hopefully they are getting back on track. BTW, I read were you said you have never read the Rodders Journal, check one out, the photography is top notch as are the editorials. I honestly believe Steve is doing his best to live up to his promise to provide the best magazine on the market. HRP
Hotrodprimer, I wish someone would answer my E-Mails. All I want to know is my status as to where I stand with my subscription. As my post#6 states, they owe me two issues!
I would think that by me being a loyal (almost 30 years) and "charter member" since signing up in 1994 that someone would have the courtesy to at least return my E-Mails.
I would send an email with all your info and lifetime number, and I bet you will get a response soon. Their website has been updated and at the bottom has a new tab where you can submit your address change so it goes into their database.
My self , Several emails No response, Maybe 16 or so in last year or so, Gave Up , L-T-M, same Email since like 98,
No, I'm done, IF, IF issue #87 ever comes out and that's a huge IF, I'll just order it on line. No way to run a business!
I agree with your frustration. Bu also sympathize with TRJ. Are you a "charter member" or Lifetime member"? Maybe you didn't get two issues because your subscription expired?

We seem to revisit this about once a month. I've known Steve since he was a feature writer and photographer in the 70's. I've never known him to intentionally cheat anyone and he tries his best to full fill his obligations. I'm not saying what has happened is acceptable but I know he's trying. Constant bashing of R J does little to get #87 to your door. Let's take a break and see what shakes out.
Have been in contact with Tina at Autobooks Burbank re No87, she advised it is on the way and as soon as it arrives she will contact me so I can collect it on my 2months annual trip to USA in Sept/Oct this is how I received my No 86 Be patient
All I can offer is keep sending the emails, like me eventually it will be seen, took mine more than a year. From what I have read Steve is basically doing the majority of the work at RJ, publishing, writing. like me I rarely look at email and at one time he had someone doing that. I am amazed that he didn't throw up his hands a say that's it, I give up but he has stuck with in and I feel like he is doing his dead level best to make good on the promises he made. Since all the crap hit the fan he has published 2 magazines, that's two more than most people though, will he ever fulfill the 4 magazines a year? who knows but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, I'm a lifetime subscriber and if I never receive another magazine I feel like I got my moneys worth, all we can do is try to support the effort and be patient.
