That’s pretty on the money, every time I come back to the photos I find another thing I like.

Really nice little truck. Would love to know more about it.
It reminds me a little bit of @Blues4U and @Mick Coyne bitchin' little trucks.

For the life of me I can’t find the thread or even a photo but a guy, I want to say Matt? Built a 34 pickup with a blown bbc in bare metal and a cage a bunch of years ago with a very similar vibe. It was in the Texas summit racing show room for a while. That sound familiar to anyone?- edit I found it! Photo below

Anyhow, today’s feature feels like it lands right between that and this beauty @bobbleed built a while ago IMG_0091.jpeg what a gradient/ trio of awesome IMG_0096.jpeg trucks IMG_0095.jpeg

I stared at the truck in the top photo at Jefferson with the wide 5 wheels a few weeks ago for over a hour or more took a few pictures as well.
That truck is one of the nicest I have seen in person. I talked to the guy who was there who built it a bit ? Had for sale sign on it . Way out of my league to build as nice or to buy . But its a damn nice truck. the chrome bead on the bed was brass that was chromed and added . Its beautiful the you look under and see a quick change !

Yeah Bob really built a stunner! It’s for sale because he’s building the owner another new hot rod :)

I believe it had a good sized feature in Hop Up not super long ago.

I saw it last year at Jefferson but didn't have much time but it stuck hard in my head.

I'm hoping to do something more like the left over special on the cheap woth what I have on hand.
Got the 331 Hemi running again today. Have a really nice cab, set of model A rails, a dropped solid axle , a 32 shell and new Walker Radiator in a box , t5 , Ford 9" . Need time and space .

I like this red Screenshot_20250523_185830_Photos.jpg truck a lot also Not sure if I copied it from here or were.

I believe Jeff Norwell built the red truck. He’s on here as well.

Sounds like you’ve got a good plan cookin!

Id love to see a build thread on it. ( red truck if there is one )
Id also like to see how far these guys are putting the edge of the grill shell from the fire wall as well and if there moving the front crossmember forward and how much in the case of a model A like the Left over special . I am going to run the orginal 331 waterpump and such so it needs to fit well . My fire wall is butchered ( big square hole ) so I cant hurt it much but id love to see the left over special or other Chrysler hemi in a channeled A up close to see if a 32 radiator need to go forward . I swear there was a thread on a Hemi in a A last year but I cant find it .

Honestly if the firewall is already cut I’d just set the truck up to look right. And then stick the engine behind the radiator and then make the new firewall work. Too many good looking hot rods get ruined because they stretched the rails or pushed the grill forward for a big engine and ruined the proportions.
