    Think it would have helped to straight shaft and u joint past header tube location ? I know column and engine mounting are a mess .

    Probably! Would have been much better to have added a long enough straight shaft to the bottom of the column, then add the U joint away from the header tube. Probably would have had to make the notch in the header pipe at a bit different angle then it is in the picture. Its pretty hard to determine for sure what is best, without seeing the rest of the steering shaft routing.

  21. This is how SAAB came up with the correct stance for their gasser project. Thats Gunther, chief designer. Gunther quit the project after a Hernia . Car was later named "Gunthers Gasser" in his honor. On his retirement day Gunther was given a stock SAAB which he frequently used to pick up chicks. After that fiasco SAAB went to the SaltFlats.
