    no idea where to find it--but has cad front and i think suicide doors as just some of the mods!--bound to be in one of the truck threads

    I think that might a result of the old car show judging rules where you got points for every modification you did. More mods = more points.

    I saw a '40 Ford coupe at the street rod nationals many years ago that suffered the same fate. Someone had taken a great car and butchered it.

  15. Factory made :cool:. Aussie factory that is :D Still quite a few around, Plymouth as well. Great plumbers ute along with the Ford Customline ute.

  18. Thats kinda what this great thread is about. Just get out the grinder and welder and start on a old fourdoor. Utes did,nt have longer twodoor doors .

    Start with most any wagon, move the back window forward to the back of the front seat. All the elaborate tailgate work is already done for you.

    Looking at all the conversions, it's apparent to me that using a 2-door as a starting point ends up being the most attractive. And it gives you a lot more room in the cab without fabricating an extra six inches that doesn't always jive with the style of the donor.

    (Ever notice that on lots of 4-door cars that the top of the front seats often enter the back seats' area?)

    This T-bird is one of the minority that got the proportions and roofline correct.
