That’s some interesting paint on that pickup. Not sure I have seen paint quite like that. Looks good!

You want some prysmatique on the Pontiac?? You ain't got the balls! I'll sure throw some in there! It's a .004 flake, about a tablespoon per quart of clear, it hits hard in the sun :cool::cool:

It'll still be pitch black 8555, with the flake in the clear. Let me know

Little update, just about ready for the trip to Bowling Green in June, all down to cleaning and stuff like that, setting toe, tightening jam nuts, etc... rebuilt my first Hurst shifter, amazing how good it works now, the selector pin was worn badly, and had a groove worn in it from the reverse pin. $100 kit fixed all of that. Here's a couple of pictures.. 20250527_154233.jpg 20250528_114513.jpg 20250528_174514.jpg 20250528_174533.jpg 20250528_174540.jpg

Switched the handle that Steve gave me because the threads are stripped, need to drill it and put an insert in it.

I've poked my head in here from time to time and it's been a great thread to follow, an inspiration for sure.
I honestly hope you can find time down the road to iron out the bodywork and lay one of your superb paint jobs on it. The car really deserves that. But what you've done so far is way beyond cool. You da man!

It's gonna get the full treatment lol... I've come to the conclusion that I'm gonna have to spend some money on body parts, and they ain't cheap! But I'll drive it the way it is while I collect doors and a tailgate, hopefully a hatch as well. Really thinking hard on a fiberglass front end but I'm not sure yet.

  16. I'm impressed! I know how hard it is to find time to work on our own projects when self-employed doing the same thing for Customers. You came a long way pal.

  17. Sorry, I'll miss seeing Lloyd and the guys at BG this year.

Well we went on our maiden voyage this evening. The car is a damn beast, I'll go on and tell you that it's the fastest I've ever owned lol. I have a driveline vibration that I'm pretty sure is pinion angle related, but I'll take care of that. Hit a local cruise in, seen some buddies, talked shit, and headed it back to the shop. The clutch pushrod fell out, and the throttle linkage fell off the carb, corrected those issues on the side of the road, but other than that and the vibration, pretty uneventful, ran cool, pulled hard  20250531_173654.jpg

  21. Sounds like a great maiden voyage!! Now, you can drive it to work after you get the vibration fixed.

  22. Looks like it attracted a lot of geezers,

I believe i stripped it, pulled threads out of the handle. I'm gonna drill it and put a nut-sert in it.
