  2. Had skirts on a 54 Chevy convertible. Couldn’t decide which way I liked best. Ran often with one only. Switched sides often. On a Tudor sedan I don’t like them. On a hardtop maybe.

    Am I the only one that called these “bubble skirts”, or was that a Philly thing?

    The skirts in the picture are Jimmy Jones skirts. Not your typical bubble skirts. For some kool examples and history check out the link below.

    Yeah, I'm loving that skirt trim idea. You can have credit for being the first to do it, but you won't be the last.

  23. '39 Merc custom skirts !!!
    These are flush mounted with the fender. It's not until you get up close that you can see they are a separate piece. From a distance the rear fender looks smooth from front to rear.
