History Seattle- 55 Chevy Delivery showcase help

    does anyone remember this car from the Seattle area in the 70's up to 1980-1, apparentley was at Bills wheel house, sure would love to get the history on it! rumoured to be in Car Craft magazine around 1980. its a 55 Chevy 150 2 door station wagon with delivery panels installed, Nomad rear quarters ran a blown sbc, 4 speed, 12 bolt. eng cl.JPEG sh blurr side.JPEG video clip best.PNG d garage nite r.JPG d driveway side.JPEG show r qtr.jpg

    Reminds me very much of a car I first saw at either ( or both) the Classic Chevy Club west regional meet in Reno 1979 or San Diego 1980.
    It was black with blue flames (had a hood) and the window panels had lettering "The Last Ride" with an airbrushed mural of the 55 (as a hearse) leading a line of oldies into a graveyard. I seem to recall it had Nomad style wheelwells. If that's it, it's conceivable the (van era) mural faded and got painted over.
    I recall it being really nicely done and detailed with lots of chrome. I recall the owner was a very affable guy. Racking my brain as this was 45 years ago.
    I know I photographed it, though digging those photos out may be quite a chore...

    Nice car looks although looks to be a 2 dr wagon conversion. A real sedan delivery has a 1 piece tailgate

    yes its a real 2 door wagon converted, good eye

    Update , found and talked to the old owner / builder in early 70’s , he was so happy to see the car is virtualy unchanged .Car was shot and featured in August 1977 Car Craft magazine by Bruce Caldwell … small world , Bruce and i have been buddies since 1976
