I was wondering if anyone knows or has rear upper shock mounts. Or where I mount the rear shocks to. I see a crossmember above with threaded nuts (2 on each side). I'm assuming brackets should be there?

Usually helps if you say what kind of car it is.

Either use "I" hole adapter with bolt /stud spacer from crossmember or
    C channel
Cut to shape of crossmember ,weld
    30 - 45 ish deg on shocks

Yuppers, complete questions with info as far as year, make and model help a lot.

First step though is figuring out if that shock is the correct one for that model of car or did it just come with the parts and pieces.
Second one is look on the body over the rear axle and see if there are holes for those shocks as a lot of that style of shocks go through reinforced holes in the floor pan and you crawl in the trunk to put the bushing, washer and nut on from inside the trunk.

    The OP double posted...

1955 Ford Ranch Wagon, which is the same as any other 1955 Ford.

There should be 2 saddle brackets on the back side of the rear shock crossmember.

I wouldn't do anything yet, you have an unloaded frame and mounting shocks right now is a waste of time to me.

Once the frame is loaded to ride height your gonna change a whole lot of things as in shock angle will change, shock height mounting position will change etc.

Let's say you mount the shocks then load the frame to ride height THEN find out you only have an inch of down travel before you bottom out, now your cutting off the upper mount and moving it.

Also as the frame goes down the top of the shock will travel in so then you end up with a shock laid way over that isn't doing much...

    So I'd wait.....
