I see it as a mobile hot tub, that upswept back end would be great for laying against and relaxing ;)
But seriously the only thing I like is the pancaked hood.

    I think it’s got potential.

I agree. The main issue is that whale tail. Its design language is simultaneously Fad-T and '70s-'80s aero, and it doesn't fit the c.1960 custom idiom. Simply trimming it down to a level bed top, and adding a tonneau cover (button-tuft? T&R?) could make all the difference. Then: skirts on the back? I think this might be one of the rare instances where a Continental kit would actually work, aesthetically.

The designer is definitely some sort of sculptor.

I can see why the owner wants to sell, even they think it is ugly.

It looks like one of those no lace slip-on shoes.

Block of wood to hold the door open, so every time you try to get in the goofy suicide door it closes on your leg.

with enough sawzall blades anything can be fixed.

wonder if it was ever a finished custom.

Just needs the bed to be rebuilt - and that...er..."spoiler/bathtub" removed and you could have the basis of a really nice vintage style show truck. The cab has a great look to it.
