Well you told me I had to! After all the assistance, it would have been unconscionable to not reply with the fix/outcome. Seriously, thank you! You guys are the damn best.

I did encounter a new issue, not wholly unexpected though. I seem to lose traction when I hit the gas pedal…. Not sure there is a fix for that one, except stay off the loud pedal….

    I don’t expect that to actually happen….

Had the same problem on my avatar. Mine started at 50 MPH and drove thru it at 55. Turned out to be a bad wheel.

That is not a problem. That is what we are actually trying to achieve on this website.

Haha! This winter I swapped to a pretty hot sbc engine (was a mild 283), and a 9” rear (4.11 gear posi) with express intent of making it a little scary…. It is a real handful, in a good way.

Based on power:weight ratio and gearing it is capable of low to mid 10s in the quarter mile. But the poor firestones have no chance.

Not so much. The toy car thing is lost on her. I’ve had the truck in my aviator for 19yrs. She has gone for a ride in it exactly twice, and has not been in the Model A. It just is not her bag at all. That’s all right, she is a good sport about it anyway.
