Sometimes you just gotta do whatcha gotta do.

In the early 70's my wife and I had a '66 corvette roadster, Clarence (see avatar), and a BSA motorcycle. No pickup truck. No 4-door car. We did EVERYTHING in or on one of those. You should have seen us when we left the grocery store with both of us in the car, especially in the winter. I unlatched the top from the windshield frame and held the top and panel behind the seats (which the hard top was attached to) up in the air while she loaded the grocs behind the seat. At home we reversed the procedure. In the summer it was a bit easier as we could just put the rear of the soft top up and the panel behind the seats could be raised independently. In the summer the hard top was inside the house and in the winter the soft top was inside the house.

  6. Chrysler Australia had some cool muscle cars in the 1970's. I had forgotten about the hot fourdoor "Pacer". On the other hand i will never forget driving a hot Valiant R/T Charger with triple webers .

    Hey Charger!

Weber induction noise is awesome… even the pair of downdraughts I had in a TE Gemini sounded great.

    cheers,

That would ruin your day, for sure! The fact that the one side has been broken for a long time still wouldn't help much.
