  1. Not the greatest turnout, including some appropriate rides. 0BD1F681-2F64-4F1F-835E-CED6A4B6835E.jpeg

Thanks for the coverage! The pic of the black 32 framed with the bridge and tractor in the background is real nice.

  6. It certainly is nice- owned by my wife’s uncle, he is 87 and bought the car when he was 16. Here is a bit of back story. He learned about the hot rod craze in California from the little books at the news stand in the station where he pumped gas during highschool (Texaco or Supertest I forget) He drove the car home from the used car lot where he bought it for $125 bucks, to a stern talking to from his father. He is a retired skilled trade employee from Chrysler, the car was built by him, his buddies and brothers when he retired - 8 hours every Tuesday was devoted to this project until it was completed. All assembly, motor rebuild ( not stock motor) paint etc all performed in his barn- upholstery was farmed out. Boxed frame, lowered 32 front axle, ford 9 inch rear axle, big and littles painted red. I believe it has about 25k on the clock since it was built. I would do away with the dice and the billet gas pedal, if it was mine, but the rest is pretty nice. The green and white 35 coach is mine, this was the first show we have been at together, as I have only owned mine for a little more than a month. Bucket list sort of stuff for me, it was a good day. I appreciate that you recognize the quality of the build.

Thanks for the great pictures. I was there and it was a pretty good turn out. My buddy's Merc. was featured on the show posters and dash plaques this year. I always say this is one of the nicest spots for a car show in southwestern Ontario. The only bummer was a lot of the area was flooded from the rain from the nights before. A lot of the swap meet area was covered in water. I told one of the vendors I had to wrestle an alligator to get to his table. DSC00451.JPG

  8. Yup, light attendance due to the forcast. I had quite of few pictures of the merc in another thread recently, it is certainly a nice example of a custom. I decided not to feature restored originals, or cars I had recently shared- trying to stay fresh. A group of the guys did confirm that at trip to the Gilmore museum should be an aim this summer - just go on a regular day - I was lobbying for relix riot. We will see how it turns out.
