On our way to Loring, I drove it onto the scales. PXL_20250605_124619424.jpg PXL_20250605_135749934.MP.jpg

We start racing on Monday. I'll post timing slips, good or bad.

Wow, surprisingly it's a few pounds (230) lighter than my street driven 46 GMC (weighed full of fuel).

Our first p*** at Loring, taking it easy. I wanted to see if it drove okay, shifted okay . I set 3 new records.
The second p***, I went for it. I had 3 perfect shifts and then the tac started going the wrong way. We lost a lot of oil and we're done for this event.
We'll see what happened when we get home. PXL_20250609_150808424.MP~2.jpg

Hate it when the Tach does that. Sounds like things went OK before that. Hope you get it sorted before Bonneville.

The pistons just arrived. Do we have enough time to build a motor and get to Bonneville? We're getting too old for thrasher 18 hours a day!

FB_IMG_1753455411442.jpg On a brighter note, we picked up the 3 record certificates while we were at Loring Timing ***ociation.

Sure you can get it done! It's just pistons, you don't even have to pull the engine. :D

Sweet deal on the records. Absolute bummer on hurting the motor. Good luck getting it back together.

We made a couple of p***es at Loring but we ran on the middle runway and it wasn't compatible with my suspension setup. We took air out of the tires but it wasn't enough. We'll do some more work when we get home and then head to World Finals at Bonneville.
We set three more records but we need to go a lot faster. FB_IMG_1757337504411.jpg PXL_20250905_182704588.jpg

Considering the last minute change required for the runway you certainly did great. Heck when we flat tow our car back on that runway its so rough I could never run our car on that surface. It would be a very bad idea. See you both at Hershey.

  29. A pickup I would be proud to use as a Daily Driver. You "done" good.
