  2. Boy have I been missing out… I’ll have to find time to go through this thread.
Been searching for a new home and now that we found one, we are packing up.
Hope to get ‘regular’ again soon…

Hey guys Maybe we should have another separate thread for discussion of what is and isn’t art. I don’t think anyone wants to Muck up the FAS.
A thread on what constitutes art on HAMB would be something I would enjoy MAYBE.

Just my opinion here, I think the best thing for the continuation of the (FAS) is to just keep posting great Art and great Photography, like the contributors always have. The less dialog as to the never ending debate as we have seen here, I think will help to smooth things out.
    Thanks from Dennis.

IMG_2006.jpeg I took my modified Tin Lizzie to a small town car show early summer celebration yesterday. Only 7 cars showed up because of the wet weather. I hung out at a friends smoker as they were cooking. John was in charge of the beans . He has a very well trained cattle dog . He asked if he could have her sit in it and get a picture. Of course I said yes

Fuzzy dice at sunset, quickly before the sun got lower, shot with smartphone, then filtered and cropped.
    Thanks from Dennis.

    Hello,

My wife and I drive down to the shoreline as many times as we can. We have been doing that cruise, short or long since 1966. The shoreline + waves always brighten up our days during these last months, starting in April. There have been more overcast, cool temperatures and foggy days than normal. It used to be “May Gray,” then June Gloom, now for the coastal region, it is “Grey sky July” that is going to take over the hot, sunny days we always used to have.

Now, it has been April blah, definitely May Gray and now here it is the second week in June and we have not seen the sunny days we all look forward to for Summer vacation.
    The kids are listening to:

    “School’s out for Summer…”
    “School's out for summer

    School's out forever
    I'm bored to pieces

No more pencils, no more books
    No more teachers, dirty looks
Out for summer, out 'til fall
We might not come back at all

    School's out for summer (detention)
    School's out forever
    School's out with fever
    School's out completely
    School's out for summer”

    Jnaki

So, for those students in auto shop, what is left of auto shop in H.S. school is still out. Summer will allow them to work on their projects and perhaps finish them.

A case in point from the for Three Pages, Three Picks… thread, a car for sale needs something other than a lower price to move it along to the next owner. Whether it is full of name brand additions and custom add-ons, there could be some items that will cost a little bit more, but might be the one that sells the hot rod truck faster.

The stock looking 1961 Ford Truck had custom wire wheels added to a relatively stock build. But, a pinstriped outline of some custom flames could be the item that pushes the sale over the top and out of the door it goes…

A lowered rake + air shocks in the rear suspension support.

    Note:

On the other hand, if the sale stalls in all accounts, a real modification could be done to have a custom truck that no one else has and truly makes it “one of a kind…” YRMV
    upload_2025-6-13_3-7-13.png
A custom, one-of-a-kind, lowered sedan delivery… long/short enough to hold several short surfboards and camping gear easily… “Schools out for Summer”… yes!

Wishing you all a great Happy Friday.
Keeping with the theme of cars at the movies!
Hope we see the return of @rusty1 to provide some more interesting Aliens to be discovered!
    Thanks from Dennis.
