This was way before Drifting became a thing. The Monaro was simply an Homogenous design, where it all just worked together.

IMG_2081.jpeg Pulled the plugs, shot of wd40 , rigged up remote fuel, cleaned contacts, checked distributor , hooked up battery and a bit of fuel in the carb and line / filter, turned maybe 3 revolutions and fired off. Of course all was not golden , fuel line between filter and pump had a crack and leaked, m/c reservoirs empty, filled em up and just started to get a pedal when something let go and both front tires are rotten and won’t hold air. But it’s not sitting and rotting any longer, if I can help it :)
Didn’t run it very long as with the front tires flat the exhaust was down in the gr*** and it’s dry as a popcorn fart here, starting a gr*** fire wouldn’t earn me any brownie points, plugs were black and fluffy and as long as I ran it I could see it’s a pack a day smoker
