I have a feeling it's gonna be a good year :D:cool: confirmed this morning that my band will be performing on Saturday night. We just released a new song that's out on all of the platforms, and they're playing it on the radio around here. So that's gonna make Saturday night pretty damn cool in my opinion

  12. Back from the "Left" coast & trying to get caught up......

All good here as I made it through L.A. without any new "Hood Ornaments" They are wrong if they think I will stop! LMAO!!!!

To be clear @Lloyd's paint & glass ....It will be you & the band Saturday Night?

Sad I missed B.G. but business first, play later! Got a few days to finish Stubby now, better watch out Lloyd!:p

By the way....Is that Famous or Infamous??:D:p

On the lifter issue.....I never in my wildest dreams thought that Dad's hoarding issues would be to my advantage. I'll bet there are 3 dozen factory G.M. lifters upstairs with mileage in the 1000 miles or less in coffee cans!:D When they warranted an engine at the GMC dealership Dad was a mechanic at, they would throw away the complete old engine. Dad would bring home either the whole thing or just some of the parts! LOL

    God Bless

  16. All you guys who have missed Lloydfest don’t know what you are missing. This is the Coolest Party around. With Dustin Burchett and Kentucky Clear this year, it will be Monumental! These Guys are fantastic. Look them up on You Tube. You won’t be disappointed.

Hey Lloyd, saw your wanted ad. These aren't cheap, but not out of sight, either. Possibly worth a few extra shop hours and just buy 'em.

    Does he really need 5 x 4.50" boltcircle or 5 x 4.75"?

Yes, that's what he's looking for.

  24. Ironically I was AT Summit this afternoon! Apparently my head is bigger than I thought (insert joke here) bought a large helmet, needed an extra large:p & was actually looking at the wheels display. I like the aluminum version of the factory rally wheels that the 4 big manufacturers had with different center caps. Not for traditional cars, but I am going to buy a set for the 66 Ambo that is technically Hamb Friendly because it is the same as the '65!

Yeah, I had a Ford 8.8 that I intended to run, so I order Ford pattern rotors for the front, then after staring at that rear end for 5 minutes, I realized that I wasn't the ugliest thing around anymore. I couldn't put that thing in my car lol... if i retire next month, and take that lump sum payment, this car will get a new 9" with 4:56 gears, and a six speed :D but I'm broke at the moment lmao!

When I retired in December '09 I took a lump sum payout of my accrued vacation time. Unfortunately HR neglected to tell me I could take 1/2 in December '09 and the other 1/2 in January '10 to save on some of the taxes. Don't know if you would have that option especially since you're pulling the pin in July but it never hurts to double check what ever HR tells you. Because remember, HR is neither.

Kentucky retirement system is a unique monster lol... but I'm looking at a partial lump sum and still drawing a reduced monthly check, plus half of my social security until I turn 62, then I'll get the rest of my social security, and start drawing out my 457. But... Montgomery County Fire-EMS just switched to the 48-96 schedule, it starts July 1, so I'll be working 2 on, 4 off... I might stay another year, see how it goes.

Before I retired I was on a multi-agency task force. On of the members retired at the end of the fiscal year because at the time annual raises in any amount weren't being offered. Several months later he came to a board meeting so we could present him with one of those fancy framed proclamations that immediately end up in a yard sale. He said he would have kept working if he was offered even a 2% raise. But by the time he returned for the presentation he said retirement was the best thing ever. Looking back he was glad he was never offered the raise to stay. But then everyone's financial situation is different.
