1963 Studebaker Gran Turismo Hawk - $5,000 (Sun City)

This is one of my favorite styles in the Studebaker line. But for health and age issues I’m having to sell my toys. I hoping to find someone that can overlook the “Patina” and see the good bones. She runs and rides well. Need to sell in order to finish other projects started. My wife loves these Hawks our 2nd and would keep it but I just don’t have the time or money to take care of the little cosmetic things she needs. It’s straight and just surface rust in a coupla places. I put it on the lift and undercarriage is clean and looks good. The issue I have with it is the paint. It’s been painted a few times more than I initially thought. The wife says it’s been “crackled”. It was used in a movie or two so it could have gotten a cheap paint job or two.
She thinks it’s got Rockabilly blood in her. These are pretty rare to find at this price that runs and rides as good as this. Call or text will get a faster reply than email. Thanks

  2. So I saw this just a minute ago on Facebook marketplace you know because it's 2:30 a.m. and instead of sleeping like a normal human I choose to get 3 hours of sleep so I can look at hot rods and junk...
Anyways long story short I came across this way cool early custom car It's a 36 Ford that's been mildly customized back in the 1940s and I thought the price was pretty reasonable considering that it's a real pedigree so to speak granted it's a mordor but it's still cool...

Anyways I took some screenshots for those of you who did not have a Facebook I'm such a car junkie I actually went against my better judgment a few months ago and got a Facebook account just for marketplace since craigslist is pretty much dead these days anyways here are the pictures and the link if you want to look at it Screenshot_20250618-023132.png Screenshot_20250618-023144.png Screenshot_20250618-023158.png

Seems like the seller knows a good deal about it (+), understands what it's going to take to revive (+) and is pricing it well (+). I hope someone steps up on this one. Thanks for posting it.

When I was in high school my mom traded in her '57 Dodge Lancer Red Ram Hemi 3 on the tree for a "60 Ford Skyliner 289 three on on the tree. It was pale yellow with a black top & interior. Good lookin' car. She was a farm girl and didn't know how to drive an automatic. Somewhere in the 70s she bought a Cougar with an auto but the shifter was on the floor. She made the transition.

  9. Like the chrome "Earl Scheib" sticker on the right rear body panel above the bumper. The sticker seems to have held up better than the paint job . . . :p

  10. This one is also listed here in the Hamb classifieds...

That '36 sedan is super cool, I really hope someone buys that with intentions of keeping it together. But I can't blame the owner for wanting to part it out, it'll part out for way more than he's asking for the whole car. I'd like to think someone in California would love to have an old custom early V8 Ford with history, but this year seems like a really tough year to sell an old car project. The price on that one is excellent, very reasonable for a very cool and buildable car.

  13. Boy, that's really too bad. That galaxy looks like a good start to getting it back on the road. Now that it's in the yard it will never be on the road again. That makes me sad. Looks fairly solid

A lot of times, shit like this is where the deals are. Very little description, guy got all those cars with a house he bought and wants them gone, the ad even says some cars as low as $100. That definitely could be worth checking out.
