What's the story on this one? I picked up this pic in another thread but hadn't seen it before?? I'm guessing a more recent build? (80/90's) Scan0342.jpg

That Merc was built in the 80s and started life as a Woody.

Lol! It is an old 80's kustom. I hadn't seen too many pictures of it, so good or bad I thought it would bring back some memories. Always thought it had a chance to be a Kool 60's style kustom. Just needs a tweak here and there and some more.

Another late 90s build. Built when guys were using late model parts on kustoms. It was a popular trend but not pleasant on the eyes. The Merc caused a commotion when it drove into the KKOA Hangin dice show.

shows a bad example of 80's customs. reading the original comments I'm guessing the Merc body was put on the ch***is that provided the bumpers, it was well built and the owner was a nice guy.

I agree it has the beginnings of something cool. It needs more weight on the lower portion of the front IMO. The way it sits now it reminds me of one of those terrible conversion kits that were offered to "turn a modern car into a hot rod".
