Technical No start issue 50 Ford Shoebox

    Hmmm. Looks like it was the carb.

    One thing isn't clear to me; did the car start and run after you swapped parts?

    Yes started right up pulled the choke and hit the gas pedal one time and it started up how it did before the issue

    Yes. I went by this picture and by other reading and videos to drop level should actually be like 1/4” difference. Doesn’t sound like a lot but it doesn’t need to be a lot to get the job done. My original the float drop was huge and it is why the needle fell out. IMG_8484.jpeg

    Sounds like you were a step ahead of me with your diagnosis. Good on you! That may fix several issues.

    Yep had to change the tires. All issues that happened from it sitting too much I believe

    Yes it sounded like the carb to me but I was worried about Fire. Not being used the turns key and hit the button to start so I was worried it wasn’t getting Fire. Then with it turning over with the key off and with the key in my hand that really got me thinking. As far as the carb, it started fine I was going to move it to get ready to put it back in the garage. I moved maybe 10 ft and died and it wouldn’t start. I don’t have a working fuel gauge so I thought it rain out of gas. I went and got in a can and it still wouldn’t start. I figured 2 gallons would be enough to start it.
