When in high school, me and a few other buddies would play with this 1qt beaker of mercury that was in the storage room of the physics lab. I remember sticking my hands in it. It was a really weird feeling sticking our hands in liquid metal. I'm thinking a lot of my neurological problems were a result of that.
Supposedly mercury can penetrate your skin. I got yelled at in about third grade for playing with it.
