I thought I would post some of my photography of the recent June, 28th, 2025 Greenwood Car Show.
These 72 year old legs and feet got a work out, I walked the entire show, and it wore my ass out.
I decided to post the images here, so that the year of car and some various wheels might incur the wrath of the wheel police, at least here, that isn't a problem. There was a lot of different machine's there, the pictures you see here, are what caught my eye!

There are others here on the H.A.M.B. that do a lot of photography at various car shows, and they are gracious enough to share their pictures, and I really do appreciate their generosity.
Two that come to mind are @Jalopy Joker and @49ratfink, fellow contributors to the
    (FAS) Friday Art Show.

They shoot a lot of cars and trucks at various events, and they do quite well. I just wish everyone, whether they are shooting with a smartphone or with something like what I shoot car shows with, what I used here, a Nikon D-600 with a 28MM/300MM zoom lens, would take the time to crop the images so that there isn't a ton of sky and foreground!

Plus go ahead and use the full limit of 30 images per page, it makes the viewing of the images quicker!

I just wished everyone would take the time to do good editing, and crop the image as tight as possible, and if applicable, use the editing filters to help the image via what ever programs that their computers have.

It really makes a big difference in the quality of the final image. I shot around 289 pictures at the greenwood car show, and there were only a couple that I didn't use in this thread.

One thing I like to do, is give a variety of different views of the cars, so that the various angles and shapes, can tell their own story in steel and chrome and paint and the little details such as the interior.

I am not a purist in the mode of trying to keep the surrounding people out of the shot, its virtually impossible, so I just go with the flow, and I am patient and wait for them to move away, and then get the shots quickly and move on!

Its a pain in the ass to that, but its well worth it when you view it after its been done.
    Enjoy from Dennis.

Thanks. That’s always a good show. But living on the east hill of Kent and with 405 closed last weekend, that was an overnight trip for me this years. Had to pass.

  11. Thanks for the pics. Ive never been to this show I should check it out one of these years. My grandson (13) and I went to the Arlington show last year and the car he talked about was the three wheel car you showed early in your pics. I said of all the cool cars here thats the one you like most? Haha! Course I like funky cars too so who am I to say =)

I was going to take him to goodguys this month but when I went to grab tickets ... Now I havent been in awhile but Im sorry paying $31.55 per ticket, paying for parking, paying for food and over two hours total travel time getting there and back. I guess Im the cheap grandpa but paying around 125 bucks to go to a car show isnt cutting it for me. I need to hit the free shows instead =)

    Hey @southerncad
Thank you for your kind words and the recognition of the images you see here. It really makes a big difference when using this heavy monster hanging off of my neck, but it does what a smart phone cant do.

Smartphones are great, their quality of images has evolved a long way to what it is now. They have their place indeed.
But for events, its worth it to use a unit like this to capture the images that are interesting compositions!
    Thanks from Dennis.

Great equipment, but still needs to be used properly to get your results...which are a lot better than the stuff I used to get with my old Yashica Mat 124:)

I get tired of looking at 1/3 sky, 1/3 car and 1/3 asphalt. Cropping photos make them more enjoyable to see. Still, I must say that I appreciate folks taking photos and taking the time to post the photos for our enjoyment.
Thank you for your great photos.
