    . . . unusual rumble seat configuration.

  11. '29 Standard Coupe, much like the one I had in 1968. Trunk with no fabric top going down the back of the cab. Much preferred as far as I was concerned. You could put a pony keg in the back, surrounded by a half-dozen bags of ice and head off to the drive-in movie spaghetti western marathon with your buddies.

Its current configuration it cool and a lot of skill went in to building the nose and hood, but I have always been a fan of the original

  20. I don't know but many of the cars of that era ended overseas particularly Japan.

That was something I didn't understand than and still don't understand. I always looked at selling cars and parts to overseas buyers as cutting your own throat because once they are gone, they are gone forever, and you have limited your own parts supply and inflated the prices on the parts that are still in this country.

What era are we talking? 15-20 years ago?

There was a large presence of "Rockabilly kulture" type cars, shows, events, and participants here in the early 2000's that the photo reminds me of. The cars that are still around rarely see the light of day, the participants/club members mostly vanished or moved to other hobbies, and the events are all gone.

It was a fun time that has vanished, and influential for a young man wanting to have fun with cars.
