  2. Stock '29 dash for speedo, oil pressure, volts and fuel gauges with horn button where the dash light was. Overhead is the water and trans temp gauges flanking a 3-3/8 inch tachometer, left, right turn and high-beam indicator lights, ignition, lights and hazard switches. I didn't want anything cluttering up the now-gutted fuel tank area.

Don't see many with a fuel pump anymore. This one was there for the 6 carbonators.

Just about to put this one in. I wanted to retain the original aesthetic. Light switch is early Jaguar. Warning lights are temp and charge.

Holy schmoly @-Brent- those windscreen curved turn up corners to the A pillar are tricky enough to fabricate anyway ,let alone chrome. And the vertical returns to the A pillars , sheesh . And you removed the window crank hole in the waterfall . WOW.

Thanks! The waterfall is from a vert or cabriolet. They didn't use window cranks. I bought a pair of them when the prices weren't insane.

    Thanks!

    HAHAHA!

Upper dash rail, had a few extra holes plus 2 rust holes. So I replaced it with homemade wood. Dash is just speed-o n water n oil, with light switch. 014.JPG

What started out as a 38' ford dash panel, mix in 35 to 40 hours labor and I ended up with this.

The gauge panel comes out from the back side and will have glass between the gauges and dash panel...

Still in progress for the coupster. Bead roller and a hammer form for the basic shape. Home made dies for the beads around the gauges and indicator lights. Lower edges of the dash and door caps align and the ends will roll into each other. (right side started) Still have to figure out the transition to the windshield posts. The tach will be to the left of the speedo and mounted to the steering column.

    Just absolutely beautiful ! ! !
The thread title says ‘best dash in a Model A’, - I think you just showed us the best one.
Best looking dash that I’ve ever seen !
    Thanks for sharing.

( ps - couldn’t quite figure out what was written on the wooden header panel above).

This is what I came up with for my brother's 29 roadster. Much modified 41 dash 40 gages.

My 30 coupe with 35-36 dash. That's an old school courtesy light in the crank hole of the waterfall which I chose to leave unrestored.
