    On 32 front frame nose.

I has been inspired of the shorted nose, I guess most think this is a sign of a 32 that should not be custom and I build a racer, but its not super period correct, but I base on all Henry parts and race parts made in the late 40’s era.

I’m not that found of the std nose and after seen a 3W coupe Kennedy bros builded as they did this on customers desire and he talk on McGee, Joe Nitti etc and mean it was kind of popular ( back then )

Today I saw on a buddys 32 roadster he builded from scrap on the 90’s and he used truck A-Ford nose horn. I asked why, he said he did not like the 32 horn. The truck was correct height to. Se picture.
-Was this common, or what is the history ?

frame nose - is probably the correct term in Sweden.....
I don't think it was common to swap the front of the frame - but as you noted your buddy built the car he wanted and he liked the shape of the A parts better.

Regardless of the style or the labeling,, nose, tail, bumper, nerf, spreader, cross bar, etc.
I am always in wonder if there is the recollection of a time that,
in an urban setting,,, cars when parking, would kiss each other to fit in the spaces.
Momma would holler " Just back up 'til ya hear glass " :p
( Apologies for the hijack )

An old saying "Don't cut off your nose to spite your face" had multiple meanings but only one of which might apply in your case, meaning to gather all the facts before proceeding....we have all heard & read that back in the day after the war hot rods fueled returning G.I. passions, with the likes of model 'A's on original rails,32 rails, & 32-33-34's in themselves playing an inherent role. I'm certain even back then as now everyone had their preference on their likes or dislikes of the open-end frame horns vs. the rounded ends or even lopping them off all together, any of the options were fair game so who can say one or the other merits a traditional attribute....I would say do your own thing without outside influence; it's probably been done before !

May be an illusion, the rails have been pinched 3/4"/side, çleans up the frame to hood sides gap.

Generally speaking of lopping off the frame horns, be it the front or rear as on occasion one might do, I recall a unibody version under construction but not sure what make or model it might have been, if a 32 I can only assume the cast-off remnants served some purpose.

    Too what you like !!!;):D
Front frame horns, have been outfront for a long time in one from or other,,"T","A".B/32 n so on=part of frame to bolt front bumper to.
My first " A "build,I cut them horns off in 58 ,then after a short time, thought that cut off, looked wrongo_O:D/and welded them back on.
Werid I guess, but it was my first hotrod,so went through a few"I'll try this, nope,go back". Even tryed 2 other front cross members, befor staying with 2x2 inch box tube to hold spring, with some holes drilled for sexy look.
