@Moriarity , cool little 40. I almost did belly burners on mine but nixed the idea in favor of your ribbed kick stands you hooked me up with (thanks again). This truck does have some cool hood vents though. Any other pictures of it that might show that hod treatment off better?

I didn't think of it being a 39. I saw the V8 on the tail gate and my mind instantly went to 40. That explains it. I always though hood vents would be cool in one if done right though. You are right on the barrel nose, it is an acquired taste, they are growing on me.

  6. It's quite a feat to take a model of vehicle like a 39 Pickup that I don't much care for and make me like it. My backhanded compliment to the builder! And, there needs to be more vintage pickups with BELLY BURNERS!

I like em but having the bed roll right next to the pipe looks busy to me, sort of an over/under 30-30 (which I need badly, pre 64, Winchester) but with one little barrel and one big barrel.

I did come up with an idea to remove the bed roll, run the SS belly burner up high and weld on a new bed roll that wrapped around the pipe with slots in it so you could see the shiny pipe below. Probably build a slip joint up front so the belly pipe could be removed for cleaning. Kind a of a machine gun look. Have the pipe extend past the bed roll in back a few inches.

I am putting them on my 36 and my 56. The 56 has the roll but the 36 has square tubing, so apples and oranges. It would look stellar…
