I am getting desperate. I am trying to help a friend gain information on a small car, not really a micro car. Those that follow this thread are very tuned in to weird and this fits the bill. The car is called a U.S. Long Distance built in 1901 and 02 and is about the size of a Brush. They had one or two cylinder engines depending on model. I have pictures of one at Hershey show years ago, it was dark green. I was able to find the owner at that time but it was sold to an unknown person years ago. An '01 has a tiller, the '02 has a steering wheel. I have gotten all the information I can from AACA library. I need any pictures or anything you may have. Thank you in advance.

Wowey Zowey, that is what I was looking for. I have not seen any of this information before. I was at AACA library this morning and found some old copies of articles but nothing this clear. I found they were built in 1901'02'03 then sold to Standard Motor Co. There were 5 models, A,B,C,D, and E with one, two, and three cylinder water cooled engines. All had the same chassis and there was a cute little C cab panel van. One paper said they could be had with a wood body or aluminum. Thanks Timberwolf01, this will help the project a lot. We may even be able to track down this ca if it's still in N.J.

You know, I think if it had 2 wheels and fenders it would look very nice. Like an MG. It just looks strange.
