Something that most of us folks can afford without having to drain the account and listening to our wives about we do not need another project that we will start and never finish. :(

  3. There isn't a definition- it's up to whoever posts in the thread. I started this thread because I like sharing when I come across a cool old car on Craigslist that's not $10,000. Many to most of them are huge projects. But, "dreaming is free."

That's probably true. Most of the cars in this thread aren't going to get someone to drive a long way to check them out. But someone might see something they want that's close to their house. I haven't posted the one(s) that I'm planning on buying, soon.

    You got that right!

That'd be cool. It'd also be cool if someone said, "Hey, I went and looked at this one."

This morning's pick was at the top of the Marketplace list, and it's a very good one. It looks like it's actually an Oldsmobile F-35 (or maybe an L-35). Cool car. An old Oldsmobile. Two-door sedan with rear-hinged doors, and artillery wheels. There's something about artillery wheels. About the only thing I question is the touring trunk, but this car's doesn't look goofy. If it needs an engine/drivetrain, I'd rehome the propane Ford turbo 2.3 L (and such) that's been setting in my garage. I might just end up putting that engine in something, but then again I've been wanting a motor. I'd leave the paint as-is. I wonder if it's original. $5,000 is the top of my range, but this thing looks worth it. It looks original and not beat up.

It would be a lot of work, but the new owner wouldn't have a belly button car.

Could be a good starting point, but...
The story line on the Chrysler says it has a 331 Hemi, but the pictures clearly show a poly motor, not a Hemi. I wonder how much other stuff doesn't line up between the information listed and the pictures provided.

No where in the ad does it mention a Hemi.
Specifically it says "331 v8 push button automatic…."

The picture of the front of the car has 331 Hemi clearly written on the windshield. If the intent was not to mislead, that picture, or what was written on the windshield should have been removed.

He probably doesn't know what it is. Someone might have told him “dude, you got a Hemi”
If it's a 331, it would be a “poly” as evidenced by the valve covers

on edit, I see it's been sold. Anyone here get it?

That A must have been a bad boy, it got tarred!
If you wanted to restore it, it would be a money pit compared to already done cars, but if you wanted a beater, it's a possible. At least it has a trunk lid. I don't see a straight panel on it, are the rear fenders widened? Considering that T brought 2100 more on BAT, it's hard to see where this is more useful or has similar value.

I think this is not worth the asking price, 4 door, no title, no engine/trans least popular year, just beat up. But it might fit for someone.

No engine or transmission. Total project car. No title, Bill of sale. I have the rear skirts, outside mouldings, and very little rust. I also have a disc brake set up that goes with it. As you can see in the pictures, the green and white doors are not bel-air. I bought them because they were rebuilt already. Holes can be drilled for the Bel-Air trim. It's all in the trunk. Front suspension was done several years ago. I do have a power glide transmission if you want it.also have a good hood bird for it. Too many projects, and I'm getting old. Lol $3500 OBO.
