Featured Hot Rods The I'd DRIVE IT - A NOD TO ANTHONY MYRICK

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by HOTRODPRIMER, Jul 18, 2025.

  1. Anthony has a way of letting everyone know he likes everything on wheels and has created a often quoted by line - I'd drive it.

Anthony is a craftsman and a member in the must read columns for me, lets see some of your "I'd drive it" hot rods, customs & Gow jobs. HRP

  5. Anything with wheels that I don’t have to pedal

go jobs, specials and cutdowns have a raw, put the wind in your face vibe.

    I dig em.

IMG_3321.jpeg Be perfect for beating around on the gravel roads in my neck of the woods. Of course it might need a few parts to make it go.

I seen pictures of this roadster recently and I couldn't find the blower drive or the belt.

  13. The blower drive and belt are enclosed. Still in the usual spot, just covered.

I probably couldn't drive any of these properly, the old reflexes are not nearly as good as they used to be. But it sure would be fun to drive any of them poorly, for a few minutes at least.

My wife wouldn't like it very much though....

I’d drive anything in Jay Leno’s collection and he has some odd and quirky cars and bikes…

  23. This is my current contribution to the hobby. I didn’t build it, it’s a 15 footer, has mismatched van seats (heated and electric, so they stay for now), not crazy about the colour, wrong headlights, rattles, binds, bangs and bottoms out, this week someone called it a nice beater. But I drive it with almost as big a grin as Anthony. Thanks for the thread HRP. 6DA40081-A830-43EB-8036-4F95DB2E7593.jpeg

Better than a nice beater IMO, but the key is - you drive it. That's what it's all about.

I had one project off the road for 34, count 'em thirty four friggin' years. Don't do that. Drive 'em. It's on the road now, but coulda woulda shoulda.
