First year for the Ford cabover truck, 1936. The bodies were converted by a 3rd party builder.
Ford started building their own bodies in '38. Yes, pretty rare!

    How did I miss this?
Ford Eifel for sure, the non streamlined headlight stanchions are a dead giveaway.

  12. A good line up of Dodge COE cabs. I am not a big fan of COE trucks, but I think the Dodge of that year has the nicest looking grill of all COE trucks.

1970's pic ... I wonder if the Mainline ute survived ... 'Parker Street, Castlemaine' - Committee for Urban Action (Melbourne, Victoria); image is in copyright but can be used, courtesy of State Library of Victoria ua001060-003 - jpeg.jpg ua001060-003 jpeg - full.jpg

  23. Being rural 1970s Castlemaine i have a feeling it may have fallen into good hands. Nothing has changed, still a gravel road and still a vacant lot. Looks like a 1940 Ford wheel for the hose reel in the front garden. Original garage converted to living space and carport added.
