History Alexandria by the Alexander Brothers. Where is it now?

You never know. A guy I know bought the A brothers Victorion in 69 and stored it until recently when he sold it to a guy who intends to restore it.. At the present time it sits in the Gilmore Museum in a collection the titled "Barn Finds"

..............No, sorry, just hoping others might see this that didn't see it before, and perhaps have some info or memories.

 

Nothing new to report since phat rat’sreport a few posts up.. I haven’t seen the new owner since it was at the Gilmore Museum so I don’t know the absolute current plan. The current owner has the resources to get the job done and is fully aware of the significance of this A-Brothers custom.

 

It was also at the Custom Car Revival this year in June. .

 

The Alexandria mystery continues. Anyone have updates or clues?

 

Vaguely familiar with this one but don't recall seeing those concept drawings before. Love the styling.

Back in 2002 it was sitting in the back of a chrome shop ( Warren Plating ) the Biniecki Brothers, untouched from the day they bought it. They had a show car back in the 60s called CHROME COFFIN. I believe from the information i know, the business has been closed for some time also.
So it's still hiding somewhere.
Definitely a kustom needing to found & finished if possible.
More surprising, no one has cloned it.

A friend of mine was very good friends with the Biniecki brothers and I used to get all of my plating done at Warren Custom Plating in the late 70,s and 80,s.
I was in that building many times and never saw it unless it was hidden from sight.

 

I suppose they worked with what they had on hand and what they could afford at the time, but a '55 Ford seems like an unusual starting point to get to something that looks like a '62 Pontiac.

 

...True that, but it was looking pretty cool in its' formative stages.

The information was passed through my thread on Tradtional Radical Kustoms on FB. This information came from a relation of that shop. Her Uncle was not really wanting to discuss it back then. Since then the shop has closed as i mentioned. So its still hidden away, I'm not positive if those owners still have it now, just passing the information on. I am hoping like all of us, it surfaces, soon.

 

Here is a pic of the Chrome Coffin from Warren Plating, the Biniecki Brothers had.

....Absolutely! The stories they could tell. Whenever I see an old car, especially abandoned or in a junkyard, it makes me think about the Family that owned it and the places that they traveled to. I don't think that non-car people have any kind of understanding about that. As car folks, we often form emotional attachments to our cars. Non-car people would judge us to be CRAZY.
