Actually I prefer black tape. Less effort to unwind and wrap, while still leaking.
Will fit in your pocket, costs a lot less.

When he has to recount every time he's asked how many cars he owns.
    I know that :D

Was helping out a 17yr old kid going to Tech school do his brakes in my garage. He accidentally
got a little brake fluid in his eye and asked me where the eye wash station was. I gave him a bottle
of water and a paper towel and called it good...next he got a small nick on his hand and asked for a band aid...walked
him over the workbench, gave him a paper towel again and some duct tape and called it good again. To me,
that is the difference between a gearhead and a "all-knowing tech".

We didn't watch 'The Game' and don't care that you did.
    Please don't recount the play.

For me it’s pretty easy, first sign is when I roll up in the parking lot in the hot rod. Second thing is whenever I’m in a parts store I know everyone on a first name basis. The third tell tale sign is that I’m usually wearing a Goodguys/HAMB T shirt when I’m wandering around in public. Soccer moms love me, their hubbys hate me, but that’s the life of a true blue gear head:D:D:D

You might be a gear head if:
You can ID some engines from there sound.
You know the build date of your car but can’t remember the wife’s birthday.
The late model cars are parked outside because no room in garage.
You know what antifreeze, gasoline, motor oil taste like.
    All of the above posts.

Type F not bad pairs well with burgers
Mercon and dexron have a hint of sweetness.
    ATF4 is just terrible.
    I can’t tell the difference between DOT 3 and 4, haven’t tried DOT5

They're frequently adjusting their brakes. Cuz they're mechanical.
They don't know what brake fluid taste like.

  22. I agree, Thursday several of us got together for lunch recently and we were talking about the cars that were in the parking lot at high school more than 50 years ago and someone mentioned a name and no one remembered him until we were reminded of the car he drove, everyone remembered the guy then.

I remember the cars, I suppose my obsession with cars trumps my remembering people & their names. HRP

I had a pulling plate come loose while straightening a rocker panel with a 10 ton ram, plate went down the side of my head. Split me good just above my ear and about 5 inches long.

After I picked my ass up off of the floor and blood everywhere, I walked over, looked in the mirror, proceeded to make rolls in my hair and matted it down into the cut, once that was done I went back to work and finished the rocker.

Went home that night and my son looks at me and asks "what's up with your hair?" Once he got close enough to see, he's like "what the hell!!?". Thought he was gonna loose his lunch right there !

After a shower and getting the hair out of the cut just taped it together.

My son said "now that's some hard core stuff right there !"

What graphic is on the front of their T-shirts. Is it from a golf club or their kid's school or their favorite beer, or is it hot rod related.

(I just bought one with a vintage Hurst ad on the front this morning. ;))
