Customs Happy 70th birthday to the 55 Chevy

A few from the Northwest that I found online. The first one quite a few folks will probably remember.

I helped my friend build his 55 hardtop Bel Air in high school, in the late 70s. It had a fiberglass tilt front end. It was fun to ride in. I ended up with a 57; love those cars. we were into street machines. I was beginning to notice custom cars in magazines, but I don’t think I happen to have seen a 55, six or seven mild custom back then. If I still had it, it would be dressed completely different nowadays.

My friend had a '56 2 Dr handy man wagon same colors ,he lost it in a garage fire 2 years ago.it was sad he was welding another project and thought everything thing was ok when he leaves but some carpet pad was smoldering in the car somewhere he didn't notice when he came home from going out to dinner his garage was done

 

I was going to give you a Hurst Golden Shifter Award but I see you already have one!
