Are there any sway bars off of other brands that will work front or rear for Ford cars 49-51?

I also am interested. Jamco made one when they were still in business. I think this is where Shoebox Central got theirs, which are now listed on back order.

Be worth a. Email to Addco. They don’t list one, but they may still have the pattern or dimensions. They built bars for all kinds of cars and retailers back in the day. My first one was about 1968, from JC Whitney. Direct ship from them to me.

Miker, the question is, Are there any sway bars off of other brands that will work front or rear for Ford cars 49-51? I suspect theres nothing that bolts on the front but the rear may accept a common bar from another car.

the reason I made this thread is to find out about donor cars. U Pull It prices are much better than 3 or $400

If you are headed to U Pull It, take a tape measure and see if you can find any with a width that would fit your car. I've got a stock sway bar off the front of a 57 T-Bird that you could have, but I don't know where you are located.

if you've never messed with sway bars, i have a heads up. if the bars aren't a match for your application, you may experience oversteer or understeer.
