  1. Snake kicked ass on the track, Black kicked ass at engine building and, Tom Greer will still kick ass if he has to [emoji109].

  13. One of the best looking cars out there and the reason I used a "surfer" style scoop on my 41

    Hello,

By the time the GBP race car was on their winning streak, we were at the drag strip perhaps once. We missed the races of this fabulous team. My brother had recovered and was enrolled in college. I had one more H.S. year, but then enrolled in college afterwards. So, we liked the designs, But, over time, which color was the best or favorite of all of us?

Here are my “mouse eye level” art drawing view of those two all time fast race cars. “Here’s coming at you,” at a high rate of speed…

Or in the pits waiting for the next round of eliminations.

Good old/young Don Prudhomme in one of the all time top FED race cars. The Greer, Black, Prudhomme yellow FED. But, prior to the famous yellow FED, there was the red one...

“With a combination of the money from Tommy Greer, the engine and clutch science of Keith Black and the raw driving skills of a young car painter by the name of Don Prudhomme, the GB&P car literally struck fear in the hearts of its competitors…”

We saw the results in the Drag News locally and were impressed that Prudhomme finally got a top race car put together for those hectic So Cal dragstrips encounters. YRMV

As far as anyone knows, this is the very first shot taken of the new car/team that took drag racing by storm starting in 1962.
