Get one of those trailer connector conversion things made for cars that have amber turn lights out back and wire it up according to the instructions to use for the lights out back.

    get one of those

I did it using a a few relays in a diagram posted here by @RICH B years ago. A search will find it. I also shortened up the housing so the switch lever is not out so far. Been working good for several years now. DB4C7D3A-3D13-49AA-ABFF-578EFC5E7754.jpeg

If use use a trailer converter; be aware that on many of them you need to hook up the tail light wire to make them work as the internal electronics ground out thru the wire.

On others we found that you need to have front signals (or dash indicators) installed as the electronics ground out thru the opposite side front bulb.

In either case the ground current is not enough to light the bulb; but the lack of it keeps the converter from working.

When the imported trucks with separate lights started showing up; we used the converters to adapt to American truck bodies and found out that they didn't hold up to full time use. I'm guessing they are probably better now, if sourced well.

Guess I'm partial to relays; lot easier to unplug and replace a relay than unwire a converter.

Can either of you post the turn signal diagram originally posted by @RICH B and referenced above by @rusty valley above?

    Thanks.

I made up this test panel to confirm it will work, as I am not the wizard that Rich B is. Kinda funny, it looks like the worst wiring you could find in a car...but just to test the system. Once confirmed, I mounted it all on a nice panel out of sight on the left kick panel, above the dash view line, but accessible. EF2FAF95-B758-45EA-8557-96F4D9A1F766.jpeg
Also, on my 34, I used a double filament bulb in the cowl lights, so I still had parking lights. There is a trick to get the indicator lights on the 700 working, I ditched that idea

Here is another variation if you want to have your original single contact parking lights function both as turn signals and parking lights.

Here is another method we used too make a 700 switch work. In this case the two internal indicator bulbs were removed and LEDs (I know a dirty word) were hot melt glued in the sockets (be sure to get left and rights correct). We ran the grounds for the LEDs all the way out to be sure; but possibly could be grounded inside the housing. No other mods were done to the switch.
