Thanks. This guy doesn’t have a phone, so stopping by is the only way to reach him. And, he is about 45 minutes from me.

Yea, not sure the guy would get the mail either even if it did make it to his house. I think what I learned last night is that I may need to show up earlier in the day. Sunday after church seemed to work last time so I will either do that this weekend or maybe try again tomorrow morning. There were cars around that I saw come and go last time I was there, but I didn't see any people. I also won't get out of the vehicle again and walk toward the house after one of his dogs bit me on the ankle last night. Thankfully it mainly just tore my jeans and barely made me bleed. Hunting down garnish moldings is dangerous work... :p

Take several peanut butter sandwiches and throw one to each dog . They’ll be busy trying to lick the peanut butter off the roof of their mouth they won’t bite . or wear snake boots
Thankfully you wasn’t hurt too bad . Hopefully the next visit will be a good one

Ended up picking up my dropped axle today at Sid’s and also went by another buddies shop. Had my helper with me that I am still trying to ruin.

Guess I should post the axle too? I took one of the pitted up cores since I don’t figure anyone will be looking under this car anyway. I just need it to sit low and be a good driver. :D

Not sure yet. The car has an 8” in the rear so debating what to put with it in the front.

Oh, found the guy on the parts car today. He says his son wants him to keep it but he would rather have the money. While we were there, my wife asked about a bird cage that he had sitting outside. We made a deal on the cage and I’m going to offer more than he wanted on both the cage and the car to see if he’ll just make a package deal for more than he wants.

Well, I mean, obviously his son wants to keep it, he's going to fix it up someday.

Yea, what isn’t already ruined would be if he got his way. They want to put it on a 4x4 chassis and make a mud buggy out of it. And, I’m sure they will do it. It’s only been sitting there for about 40 years so far.

Ugh, that's even worse. Although, if it gets contentious, you might be able to just buy the small bits off of the car and leave the rest for the never-gonna-happen future build, I don't think a mud buggy needs window garnishes or trunk hinges for a car with no trunk.

I hope you find a way to get the whole thing, or if not, at least the bits you need for yours.

So…made it by to check on getting the parts car after church again today. Seems the owner ended up in county jail and was needing bail money. Anyway, I figured I better jump at the opportunity so went home, got a couple trucks and trailers and a machine that I happened to design to help. Couldn’t have done it without the machine. Had to tear out a fence, scare off a couple huge copperhead snakes, move lots of limbs, and drag the thing out. Pics help tell the story. And, not sure I can give the whole picture of this adventure without folks actually experiencing it.

That one’s nice enough to save too. You need a convert with a Carson top to sit next to your coupe.
