With 5 figure prices on what was supposed to be a post about inexpensive cars some people must have pockets lined with Franklins

Back whenever my parents first married they went to the laundromat on Friday night to do the clothes and were usually the only ones there late night. Dad used to go through all of the lint traps and pick out the change and sometimes bills that got washed and dried. He told me that they usually made enough money doing that to pay for their laundry to get washed.

That is a lot of money for a truck without a title, in my opinion. How can you be sure you are actually buying it from the owner and not someone that just drug it off someone's land without them knowing its gone?

  9. When ALF still lived on Melmac they used actual lint as a form of currency. And gold was so plentiful that it was practically scrap metal.

Anthony's post made me look local.
Someone was asking about building a FED to go 10s. Seems like you would be hard pressed to build this for the money. I don't recognize it, might be a members.

Looking at the overall condition AND the late model wheels; you might be closer to the truth than you think....

    Condition actually looks okay.
Thing is, I think some of these ads for cars with prices lower than you would expect are actually fake. I don't understand why somebody would do that. Some kind of bait?
    Can it hurt to check?
Looks like this person has many other items for sale, though. So maybe it's legit.

Sometimes, people just want things to go away.
They don't care what someone might think it might be worth, they price it at a "get it out of here" price.

My son just got rid of two old project trucks, both off topic, neither ran, but both came with titles. He has been looking at them sitting in his yard for a year now. The local junk yard has offered him $160 a ton, delivered, or they would pick them up for $300 each. He has no way to get them there. He listed the best one for sale for $700 as a non runner. Nothing for a week. Then he gets a call, the guy wants it to part out, offered him $500 for it, and he told the guy to come and get it. While the guy was there, my son offered the guy the other truck as well. He got $450 from it. Both trucks are gone for $950.
He probably could have gotten more if he would have parted them both out, but this way both were gone the same weekend. No fuss, cash in hand, both out of there.

I was asked by a good friend to help him get rid of 3-4 Caddy engines., heads, a tranny .... The price he set was so low I told him I would not do it. Check the classifieds in the next few days.
