Well you told me it was Thursday, and I said it was Friday, then Bill told me it was Thursday, and he said it was the evening that he checked into his cabin. So you 2 were correct. I was too busy to remember I guess lol

After bringing up Thursday Dinner for early arrivals. . . I'll be pushing it to make it, for dinner that is. Lois has an appointment on the 2nd of Sept. You know how it is with Doctor's appointments, you take them when you can get them. It's early morning, so we might be able to leave that day. It's only about 550-600 miles, but we'll be in the MH and don't like to do much more than a couple hundred miles at a time. But, if I man up, I should be able to do it. As long as my camping spot is available next to the old station I'll be all set. The closer it gets, the more excited I get. Looking forward to all the festivities. Ron

Big announcement, well it's big to me anyway. Killer D is coming to Lloydfest! In my opinion, the best striper in the country. He travels all year across the country laying down lines. It's all he does. I asked if he wants to set up and stripe, but he already had something scheduled in Nashville. Then today he contacted me and said Fuck it, he's coming to Lloydfest lol. If you want any work done on your car, trust me, he's the man. His company is "killer design", check him out. And for reference i asked about pricing, he said a hood, decklid, and door handles is around $150-$200. This is big to me, I'm tickled shitless!!!!!!!

  14. That is fantastic news! I look forward to meeting him!

Darin Allen is his name, he was a member here. Hasn't been on in years. Stays busy on the road. He told me he's striping 1500 cars a year.

Dude, that is no days off, 365 days a year, 4.1 cars per day (I could do the .1) every day, all year including Christmas and super bowl Sunday. I can't even drink that many beers.

I've watched him at the boogie nationals, and at goodguys, the man is a machine. He was headed to stripe that weekend at the triple crown of Hot rodding in Nashville the same weekend as Lloydfest III, but he backed out, said he'd come do this. He's no joke. Not a beginner. That's why I said this was a big deal to me. Wish my car was painted. But I'm gonna have him stripe one of my old coolers, might get my dash painted before then so he can stripe it.

I am big and I drink beer, but I am not a big beer drinker. I just ask the girls to strip and lay on the car so I can trace them in One Shot. Judge says that is still lewd public behavior. What is the world coming to?

    I know, right?

jus' expressing your and their's artistic abilities

I've been meaning to ask, how do you get the lines so close to their parts without shaking?
Do you use one of those brushes with a wheel on it?

Project X had a pinstriped dash. Kinda always wanted the same in my '57. I'm gonna think about this..

Years ago I picked up a 30s Olds sedan just before it was on its way to the crusher, it had a pinstriped dash. That dash was the best part of the car! I actually sold and delivered the car to a hot rodder near Davenport Iowa. He was really excited the day I dropped it off, I sometimes have wondered what ever happened to the car.
All this talk about the pinstriped dash brought the Olds back into my memory.

Do that pinstriped dash! Get that tradition restarted!

I'm going to have to park my 'fifty footer' a bit further away from the general parking area!
