Got a velvet rope at an auction last night for 5 bucks, thought it'd be fun to put it in my garage but not sure how to set it up yet. Also got this big Whitney punch which is in very nice shape, although I kinda wish the die it came with was a bit bigger, and the piece I was really after, this shear. It's not a Beverly but I'm hoping it works the same more or less, it's very heavy, needs a thorough cleanup but the blades aren't beat up, and hard to complain for the price. Bought the pair for $7.50
It’s getting changed. Plans are for removing the single wheel and add a crossbar with 2. And reweld a few things. the engine mount turns as smooth as a hub. That’s why I bought it. Will redo the bolt stop on top.
Got this cool heater. Looks like a c2 console trim $35 for everything on the tailgate what’s a 55-57 t-bird glass continental kit worth?
The heater is nice, I had one of those labeled as Tropic-Aire and I had another identical one but with a different brand name stamped on it. The vent adjuster is a neat design. For the continental kit, keep in mind that the '57 rear bumper is very different, and every '56 came with a continental style spare, but not with an extended bumper. So your kit is either for a '55 or a '57 and won't interchange with each other. The cutout shape makes me think maybe '57 but it's a little hard to tell from a 2D picture.
The t-bird kit is cheap I’ve got another one of these heaters but its name plate is missing. Would like to find one or a pic so I could maybe duplicate it Was the c2 console trim worth $20
Here's a guy selling a disassembled one with the emblem on eBay, but I think his price is way too high for what he's selling. There's at least one good pic in there that shows the emblem though. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2570660091...378UO/diT/+coqS+8mzqH0q3w=|tkp:Bk9SR5zoyrGXZg
I wouldn't mind having the console. It might clean up and be nicer than the one that's in my car. We might could work something out if yon are at Lloydfest
I wish. Probably won’t be able to make it. But I’ll clean it up and see what happens Send a pic of yours. I need one good enough to cut up to fit a project.
I'm almost done with the floors in the '55. Been waiting for these braces that are HT specific and go under the rear seat. Someone must have had a sweaty hand in the factory. I have to sand a rusty handprint off before painting these!
That cover drawing made my knees ache. Boy gets car. Spends lifetime picking up 1/2” sockets from underneath it cheers, Harv
Found this on eBay last week and it came Saturday afternoon. It’s the correct headlight for my woody without the alignment marks and correct part number.
That's cool, at the resto shop I used to work at, we were always looking for those. There's a certain retainer ring that Ford used that doesn't play well with those little nubs that the other bulbs always have.
